How To Achieve Best Results By Using Email Finders
It was once a daunting task to find leads. Over the last few years this has changed with the rapid growth of applications for finding email and several data sources. Surprisingly, not all know how, how and how they are best utilized. I will be brutally honest about the options 😀
Which type of emails you should get and how to trust them
You’ll get 3 different emails from email finders:
Server verified Emails
Server-verified emails are not in a database. You enter e.g. a name and website. John Smith, Airbnb.com and email finder form an email, John.Smith@airbnb.com or firstname.lastname@example.org and check it directly against their mail records. If it returns with OK, the email remains.
- It provides an exceptional delivery rate due to its fresh and direct approach
- There are very limited servers which allow such emails. The average ration is 1:5.
- It’s a whopping 97% +
Scraped emails are when the company went to every website on the planet, searching for places where people posted their email, e.g. the page ‘ contact us. ‘
For a website, it means you don’t need a name. Just enter the website and the email finder returns whatever emails it has for that website.
Lower production. It’s not guided, so you don’t know the person’s name. An email posted in 2012 may not be true now.
- It’s only 75%
Pattern Guessed Emails
The organization took a list of current addresses, e.g. email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, and presumed emails from Richard Webster would be email@example.com
If an email cannot be checked or scraped, then taking a guess can be useful, particularly if it has a consistent pattern.
It has a very minimal delivery rate. Clearly evident down below.
- It’s only 30%
Common features in some email finding companies
- Single Search Features
- Bulk Upload
- Chrome Extension
Single Search Features
Ahh, you enter a single name and website (or just the website) and it goes off searching for an email either by pinging the database directly, from either a scraped database, or by guessing patterns.
You can upload 10,000s of names / websites in a csv file in one go and download the results later.
The techies. Most companies have an API to allow you to query and extract data directly, often for integration into their own applications.
A chrome plugin that lets you find emails when browsing the web or pages. Many plugins work on Linkedin, but Linkedin is shutting them down with vengeance.

We do not offer chrome extensions, but don’t worry, they’re on their way soon.
We’ll cover their usual service, but we’ll also show you how some other resources can be better and in which area. Anymailfinder offers confirmed addresses, scraped emails and template emails.
They just charge a credit for checked emails, and that’s the main strength. We recently added 10 million+ high-quality patterns for larger companies, so the pattern estimated production rate should be around 70%.
Hardly any big scraped email archive. Anymailfinder doesn’t run regular scrapes so it’s nowhere near as big as Hunter.io. Anymailfinder.com shut down the Linkedin extension. Okay, who wants that darn headache? They don’t!
Hunter‘s our rival, but you know what, they’re sweet. It has a huge database, based on scraped emails. When you register a domain, they will find a lot of emails for that domain.
Huge scraped email folder as they specialize here. They’re perfect for domain queries only. If you have no names and want to find as many company emails as possible, then Hunter is a good bet. While we also find domain queries, when a client asks for emails from very small businesses, I point them to Hunter as I know they will do a better job.
Hunter charges all emails found, whether checked or not. This means that they will bounce up to 50 percent. You must pay an extra credit to validate the text, while Anymailfinder only charges for checked addresses. It’s a choice between us. I see customers coming and going. In short, if you have the name and domain, use Anymailfinder, if you have the username, use Hunter. We’ll use both for our next venture.
How to generate leads using Email Finders?
This section merits as much as email finders. There are plenty of email finders out there, just finding the right names and domains right now to feed into them to turn into emails.
Here’s a list of different methods which can be used for fetching data
Followerwonk is a tool to analyze and access Twitter info. How to get 2,000 leads in 1 hour?
Ask yourself’ which account will my target users follow? Example: When you offer rental insurance, Airbnb followers are likely to be interested in home insurance they borrow.
Using Followerwonk.com, you can add 10,000s of those followers to a file and upload it to Anymailfinder or Hunter to get their emails (for those with a legitimate business domain).
Best part, it gives you a simple topic header:’ I see you’re following Airbnb on Twitter.’
Followerwonk alternative? ScoutZen.com, which allows you to access 1 million records per account and has a free version that allows you to check 1,000 at a time.
Buzzsumo, similar to Followerwonk, allows you to download up to 10,000 rows of twitter info, but explicitly allows you to download all tweet-sharing users.
Check BuzzSumo.com for a shared tweet about your company. If you sold house insurance, you might be searching for all the people who shared’ TopAirBnB rental tips.’
Download the file containing the names and domains of those people who shared the tweet. Add to email finder.
Your email subject header is “I saw you tweeted…”
Previously, Crunchbase let you download their entire dataset of 100,000 companies including the founder’s name and domain. To get that dataset, there’s a sign-up process. Instead of buying Crunchbase Pro, however, you can also see who was recently funded and download their data.
What do you have after all this?
A file containing lots of people listed on Linkedin and you will have their name, Linkedin profile link, country, industry, job title and more details + checked email address when we find it.
The free version helps us to import data bands, although we may not yet discover limits. The paid version is only $15/month. Note that Linkedin will restrict how many profiles you can access a day, get more from their premium account.
